CAR licence plates are being targeted by thieves in West Oxfordshire according to police.
An neighbourhood alert from PCSO Helen Keen warned there had been several recently reported in the Enstone area, near Chipping Norton.
She said they are commonly stolen to disguise criminals own cars and advised people to make sure plates are screwed on.
ALSO READ: Rush hour crash in city left two people in hospitalPCSO Keen added: "You can make it even harder with number plate screws, which are like locking screws. Try and park your vehicle in a well lit area as close to where you are staying as possible."
If a licence plate is stolen people are urged to report to police as well as their insurers.
