A NEW knitting group will make blankets for refugees in Syria.
The new Headington knitting and crochet group will run on the fourth Wednesday of every month, kick-starting on August 28.
Read more: 80 per cent of calls to TVP via 999 are not emergenciesEach session the group will use donated needles, yarn and patterns to make blankets, jumpers, hats and gloves to send to two good causes: the refugees in Syria and Knit for Peace – a group promoting the hobby in hospital and women's refuges.
The group will meet at Headington Baptist Church on Old High Street in Headington from 1.15 until 2.45pm.
