A DEPRAVED paedophile who 'groomed' his child victim, plying her with gifts of dresses and underwear, has been jailed.

Among the multiple instances of child sex abuse Michael Teall took naked photos of his victim after bathing.

The 29-year-old of Little Chesterton, near Bicester, had already admitted rape, two counts of sexual assault by touching, four of inciting a child to sexual activity, one of incitement to penetration and one of taking indecent photographs of a child.

Oxford Crown Court heard at his sentencing hearing yesterday how Teall had groomed his child victim and bought her gifts.

During the sexual abuse he would make the girl who cannot be named for legal reasons - perform various sex acts.

He also took naked photos of her on his mobile phone after having a bath.

In mitigation at the hearing his defence barrister Alistair Grainger said that his client 'needs help' and struggled with socialising, getting jobs or meeting people.

Sentencing Judge Ian Pringle QC found that Teall was a 'dangerous' offender and jailed him for eight years with four years on extended licence.
