The weather service is predicting the band of heavy rain 'followed by heavy showers or thunderstorms' could cause disruption.

Oxford Mail:

This includes a 'small chance' of flooding in some areas, which could have a knock-on effect on public transport, while spray caused by the rain is set to cause difficult driving conditions.

On Saturday, the forecasted winds are expected to be most disruptive during the daytime, with 'short term loss of power and other services possible'.

The Met Office is again warning of delays to public transport, with drivers reminded to watch out for fallen trees blocking the road.

Temperatures on both days are expected to remain around 20C.

The weather warnings coincide with the final two days of the annual music festival Fairport's Cropredy Convention, near Banbury.

A festival spokesman said: "Obviously we're clearly monitoring the weather reports and the Met Office warnings.

"Our safety team has met already to discuss contingency planning."
