POLICE are hunting a train passenger in connection with a violent assault on board a Reading to Didcot Parkway service. 

British Transport Police (BTP) have released this low quality image of a man they want to speak to, following the incident on Saturday, June 22, at approximately 11.05pm.

An altercation between a man and the victim, another man in his 30s, resulted in the latter being hit in the face several times, leaving him requiring stitches in hospital.

The attacker then left the train at Didcot Parkway, where he trespassed on the tracks and jumped over the safety fence before officers arrived.

Police say they believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
