Witney's library is to close for six weeks for refurbishment.
The doors shut on Saturday and will not reopen until Monday, December 10.
When the library reopens it will have a new layout and more than 1,000 new books.
During the work, a mobile library service will be available near the building in Welch Way, starting on November 5, from Monday to Saturday, between 9.30am and 1.30pm.
Staff will be available to take calls for renewals on 01993 703659.
