A MEMORIAL event paying tribute to the life of journalist, author and broadcaster Bill Heine will take place next month.
Mr Heine died earlier this year after a long battle with leukaemia. He chronicled his struggle with the disease in a weekly column for the Oxford Mail.
The American-born eccentric was perhaps best known for creating his controversial Shark House in Headington, following a long-running battle with the city council.
The Celebration of Bill Heine’s Life will take place on Thursday, August 29, at The University Church of St Mary’s the Virgin in the High Street, Oxford. The time is yet to be decided, and it is unclear whether it will be invitation-only.
