A FIRST aider has been shortlisted for a national award just seven months after he began teaching lifesaving skills to punters in a pub.

Christopher Tancock, from Ducklington, near Witney, could win the 'not for profit' category at the 2019 UK Heart Safe awards.

He set up his initiative, Pint of Life, in December, but has already trained about 300 people in first aid across Oxfordshire.

The awards ceremony takes place in Manchester on October 4.
