MORE details have emerged of the large police presence on Cornmarket Street.
Yesterday, police cars and vans could be seen lining the busy street after a man was arrested.
A video, taken by our reporter Harrison Jones at the scene, showed five police vehicles with their alarms sounding.
The video showed four officers pinning down a man before cuffing him.
Police have now revealed that a 33-year-old man from Lanarkshire was arrested and handed a penalty notice for a public order offence.
At the time a witness, who wished to only be identified as Chantelle, said it was shocking to see so many officers tackling one man.
Thames Valley Police refused to comment on the amount of officers at the scene, in line with the forces policy on commenting on resourcing numbers for incidents and operations.
