Oxfordshire got their new Inter-Counties Youth League season off to a flying start by seeing off one of the favourites for the title, Kent, 10-7 in their opening fixture.
The under 18 boys came back from 3-0 down to triumph 5-4 with wins from Oliver Highton (19.40 average), Dean Lockyer (21.06), Shane Cooper (14.80), Arron Stockford (18.90) and man-of-the-match Mark Burns (22.82 ave).
The under 21 ladies carried on from where they left off last season with a 2-1 victory thanks to Ashley Curtis and lady-of-the-match Nicola Slay.
The under 21 men rallied from 2-1 down to run out 3-2 victors.
Tim Tricker (18.79), Paul Hutchings (19.80) and man-of-the-match Daniel Ford (21.78) all celebrated victories.
