A ROCK band created legions of new German fans when they brought out a European Union flag during their festival set.

Ben Comley, the lead singer of Witney group Twisted State of Mind, caused wild scenes with the statement in the city of Metzingen on Saturday.

It comes after the band, all 19, had to abandon an 11-date tour of Germany's biggest cities as a result of 'Brexit uncertainty'.

They were due to play in places including Berlin, Munich and Hamburg, but several potential sponsors pulled out due to the 'additional costs' of funding a British band.

The quartet first gigged abroad aged just 13.
