From ghosts and ghoulies to things that go bump in the night - Oxfordshire is gearing up for a seriously spooky Halloween.

Eerie events are going on across the county this half-term, promising thrills and chills for children and adults alike.

In Oxford, professional actor Bill Spectre will be leading spinetingling tours around the city's most haunted spots.

Costing £3 for children and £5 for adults, the one hour 45 minute tours start at Oxford Castle Unlocked at 4pm and 9pm on Wednesday, October 31.

On Saturday, Oxford Ice Rink hosts a Halloween Disco from 8pm to 10.30pm.

Featuring a DJ and prizes for the best costumes, admission costs £6.

The Museum of Oxford, in St Aldate's, is staging eerie exhibitions and events until Friday - with scary stories, creepy crafts, and gruesome galleries.

Blenheim Palace is hosting special Children's Tours to entertain - and frighten - the whole family until Sunday.

At the Hill Farm Centre, Wittenham Clumps, Little Wittenham, a pumpkin parade will be held on October 31, from 5pm to 7pm.
