A THREE-vehicle crash on the M40 caused lengthy delays near Bicester this morning.

A South Central Ambulance Service vehicle discovered the incident on the southbound carriageway, shortly before junction 9, at 7.47am.

Crews stopped to help, but left the scene after checking that nobody involved needed treatment.

The collision briefly closed a lane, although all vehicles have now been moved on to the hard shoulder and the lane has been reopened.
