Investigating officer, PC Jessica Rodgerson of Cowley Police Station, said: "This incident was witnessed by a member of the public who felt that the language used against the three men was offensive and unacceptable.

"We would like to speak to the victims in order to obtain an account from them and also appeal to any further witnesses to the incident.

"Iffley Road would have been very busy at the time of night, being late on a Friday, and there may have been people walking by who witnesses this incident."

Police did not specify what the woman said, but said she 'shouted racially abusive language towards the men.'

She is described as an Asian woman, of slim build and around 5ft 5ins tall.
