PICTURES have now been released showing off what the houses on Oxfordshire’s newest housing estate will look like.

Redrow Homes are now marketing houses in ‘The Lawns’ – a 283-home development on the southern edge of Kennington.

Work is beginning this summer after planning permission was approved at the end of March.

The first homes will be built and ready in spring 2020, the developer says.

Though not actually in the Oxford city limits, the new estate lies to the south west of Littlemore just over a mile from the Oxford ring road.

We've taken a look at the designs for the houses they will be selling once building is complete - see below.

We've also included the housebuilder's own description of the houses and their facilities.

Oxford Mail:

The develop announced in April it would start work at the 27-acre site to the south of the village, where it has started to build one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes.

The houses are now being marketed for sale, and new pictures show what they’ll look like.

Three bedroom homes are being listed on RightMove from £550,000 and another style of 3-bed from £580,000, four bedroom homes from £695,000 and five-bedroom properties from £765,000.

The original application was submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council in October 2017, but was not granted planning permission until March 29 of this year.

The application stated affordable homes would make up 'up to 30 per cent' of the site.

Oxford Mail:

The plans also include permission for a ‘community use building’.

Redrow Homes is also building the 450-home Blaise Park development near Milton Park.
