TWO men accused of dealing drugs from an Oxford house have been cleared but one has now admitted allowing drug dealing to take place at the house.

Adam Bloor, 36, of Friars Wharf, Oxford, and Paul Hutton, 39, of George Street, Reading, went on trial this week accused of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs – heroin and cocaine – and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

It came after a police raid at Bloor's flat in which police allegedly uncovered a haul of class A drugs worth more than £8,00.

At Oxford Crown Court yesterday the panel of jurors was discharged after Hutton was unable to attend for medical reasons.

After the panel was sent home prosecutors accepted a guilty plea from Bloor to a new count of permitting his premises at Friars Wharf to be used for the supply of class A drugs.

That guilty plea meant that prosecutors could accept the pleas of not guilty to the other remaining counts and both men were formally cleared of the original charges.

Bloor was then released on bail to await his sentencing which will be held at the same court on July 11.

Earlier in the trial jurors were told how shortly before 9am on July 14, 2017 officers stormed into the flat which is just metres away from the River Thames.

In body camera footage played to the court officers are seen using a ramming tool to smash the lower panel of a doorway before ducking underneath to get inside.
