England have got to keep the faith and not change their playing style when they contest the World Cup final against South Africa.

There is no doubt about it that every South African, apart from maybe those actually playing in the final, will think the Springboks have won the World Cup already.

But England have just got to concentrate on repeating what they did well against Australia in the quarter-finals and then against semi-final opponents France.

The England scrum was magnificent in both games, although it has to be said Australia have a terrible pack of forwards at the moment.

The way England will look at it is they have beaten the host nation France on their own home ground, and they won't care what people might say about them.

They are there, in the final, and I don't believe England will now change their style. They don't need to change it.

This England team is not a side that is going to score tries for fun. They are good at strangling the game, and to be honest, who cares? If England are going to win the World Cup, then it has got to be a similar type of performance to what we have seen during the past couple of weeks.

Should South Africa get a couple of scores ahead, then it will be difficult for England to claw that back.

But England have shown they can hang on in there, and if they are still in contention with an hour gone, there is no doubt they could win it.

If England have to chase the game though, I don't think it's in them to pull it off. They have got to be dogged, hang in there, let Jonny Wilkinson kick for field position and say, after 60 minutes, see where they are.

England have got players who have been there and done it before in a World Cup final - Jonny, Mike Catt, Phil Vickery and Lawrence Dallaglio, to name just four - and they won't want to give the trophy up. I think South Africa are favourites to win it, but so were Australia favourites to beat England, and then France after that.

England, unquestionably, will use the 36-0 defeat against South Africa last month as a huge motivating factor.

England must look to rattle them, and then you just never know.

A World Cup final is there to be won, and England must guard against South Africa getting on a roll.

If the Springboks get ahead by a few points, then it is going to be difficult for England.

Most of their players play in the northern hemisphere now, and they've got 400 professional players around the world. I have really enjoyed watching them.
