CAMPAIGNERS will host a cricket match to raise awareness of river pollution.

The Windrush Against Sewage Pollution group is holding the game at Swinbrook Cricket Club, near Burford, on Saturday, June 8 at 12.30.

It has billed the match as 'WASP v The Dirty River Scoundrels', who allow rivers to be polluted.

Several councillors have been invited, along with the head of the Environment Agency and Thames Water's director of external affairs, Richard Aylard, who has accepted an invitation to support WASP.

There will be a barbecue with vegan and vegetarian food available.
