ABINGDON'S outdoor swimming pool will reopen tomorrow.

From 10am swimmers will be able to enjoy the updated Abbey Meadow pool, which underwent a £1.3m refurbishment last year.

The improvements saw the two original pools combined as well as a beach-style sloped entrance and modernised changing rooms.

It will be open 9am-6pm every day until early September.

With last summer's heatwave the pool proved so popular, recording 13,000 swims within six weeks, that normal opening hours were extended.
