A BROKEN down HGV that has caused significant delays on Oxford's Eastern Bypass this morning has been cleared.

The vehicle had blocked a lane where the road meets the A40 at the Green Road roundabout, Headington.

Drivers were warned to avoid the area, with traffic queuing back to Slade Park at its worst.

Thames Valley Police were on the scene to help recover the vehicle, which has been towed away.
