CHERWELL councillors will agree to extend a deal that would see their authority pay police to monitor car parking.
Since 2017, the district council has paid Thames Valley Police £30,000 a year for a police community support officer (PCSO) to deal with car parking. The force has paid for another PCSO to help with the work.
Next week, councillors will be asked to approve the current plan being extended for another two years.
Other work to involve Oxfordshire County, South Oxfordshire, Vale of White Horse and Cherwell district councils in new parking enforcement measures is now underway, council papers state.
Last November, the huge difference in parking enforcement was shown across the county.
For example, in Banbury more than 3,000 tickets had been slapped on vehicles from January 2017 until last November.
But just one had been given in Kennington over that same period.
Cherwell councillors will be asked to agree the parking measures next Tuesday.
