THRILL-SEEKERS helped raised thousands of pounds as part of a charity bungee jump from a crane 175ft high.
The challenge event - called The Leap - was held at Oxford's Gloucester Green square this afternoon.
More than 100 places were up for grabs with places priced at £45 and a £100 sponsorship pledge from each participant.
All the sponsorship funds go to the Oxford University student fundraising group Raise and Give (RAG)’s elected charities.
This year the four charities are The Porch, Aspire, Into University and Education Partnerships Africa.
Speaking of the event Ben Bilefield, RAG Challenges Officer said: ‘Why travel to an exotic location on your gap year to do a bungee jump when you can do it in the centre of Oxford and get an incredible view of Oxfordshire?
"This is a once in a lifetime chance to tick something off the bucket list and raise money for some of our incredible elected charities."
