TWO MEN charged as part of a rape investigation in Oxford have made their first appearance at court.
Victor Alvizu, 21, of Green Road in Oxford and Nestor Macias, 36, of Downside Road in Headington, were charged today with attempting to rape a woman.
It is in connection with an alleged attack that happened on Saturday at Turl Street.
Both men appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court this morning after they were remanded in custody.
No formal pleas were entered at the hearing and the case was sent directly to the crown court.
The men will next appear at Oxford Crown Court on May 31.
