EXTINCTION Rebellion's Oxford group has invited anyone interested in joining their cause to a free event in the city.
A notice online said three or four 'somewhat-seasoned rebels' from the climate change campaign would lead the evening tomorrow.

It added: "We will take you through the demands and principles of Extinction Rebellion, and explain about non violent direct action."

The membership of the local chapter of the national group has already grown following protests in London last month, which saw 20 Oxford rebels arrested and major disruption to transport.

The induction event will take place at Flo's, Rymers Lane, from 7.30pm.
The session is free to attend, although a small donation is requested to cover venue hire.
