THE star of Madagascar The Musical immersed himself in the animal kingdom during a visit to Cotswold Wildlife Park.

Matt Terry, who plays Alex The Lion in the production at Oxford's New Theatre, was joined by other cast members for the trip to Burford on Wednesday.

The X Factor 2016 winner came face to face with some of the park's lemurs, as well as Century, one of the giraffes.

The cast have visited several zoos across the country, but the trip was their first chance to get up close to, and feed giraffes.

Mr Terry said: “It’s been fantastic. We hope that everyone will come and see the show - it’s not what you think and audiences have been loving it.”
