THERE will be a family fun day held in Cumnor on Sunday to mark the opening of the new Chawley Grove Care Home.

The free family fun day will feature a host of free activities for children to enjoy, plus a hog roast, beer and wine tastings for the adults and will take place between 11am - 4pm at the home in Cumnor Hill.

Home manager Theresa Whitford said: “What better way to open the doors to Chawley Grove than to invite our new neighbours in for a day of celebration?

“We want to make sure that our visitors, young and old, will be well-fed and entertained, so we’ve got a tasty hog roast, delicious cakes and loads of great activities for the kids to enjoy.

“It’s our intention to fill this home full of happiness and laughter for our residents, so having fun-loving families joining in our big day will get us off to a wonderful start.”

There will also be live music from Acoustic Jazz Dixie Band, cartoons screened in the home’s deluxe cinema, magic tricks and a balloon artist.
