A HIGH-value theft where about £60,000 in goods was taken took place near Burford.

A premises in Swinbrook village was raided at some point between Friday and Monday.

Failed burglary

THREE men left empty handed after they were 'disturbed' trying to burgle a home.

The burglars were interrupted while entering the property in Westwell, near Burford, with the crime reported yesterday.

Some damage to the property was caused during the attempted burglary.

Tractor thefts

TRACTORS are increasingly being targeted by thieves seeking to steal valuables in West Oxfordshire.

Police have warned land owners and farmers to be vigilant and always remove valuables, especially sat-navs, from their vehicles.

Community hall theft

A GIFT card was among several items taken from a community hall in Burford last month.

Police say the card has recently been used, after it was stolen from Warwick Hall in Burford on April 6.
