VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help out with conservation work at city nature reserves this summer.
The Wild Oxford project run by the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) is looking for people to help look after green havens in Rose Hill, Headington and South Hinksey.
In a newsletter, project manager Andy Gunn also revealed that the trust had recently made the scheme one of its top priorities.

He explained: "Wild Oxford is now considered a core project for the trust which means we have staff time funded from our central funds.
"We will, however, still need to find funds for projects outside of core responsibilities and will be working with our fundraising team to put together funding applications for projects including new signage for Raleigh Park and path improvements etc."
Throughout May, June and July, the team will be running work sessions on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.

These will be at Chilswell Valley in South Hinksey, Raleigh Park in Botley, Rivermead in Rose Hill and Lye Valley in Headington.
In August the team will re-start Saturday work parties which run from 10am to 3pm at the same sites.
