TRAVELLERS who have set up camp next to a Witney play area are planning to leave the site on Sunday.
A group of at least 10 caravans moved into Ralegh Crescent on the Deer Park estate at about 4.30pm on Monday, on land near West Witney Primary School.
They have since told Oxfordshire County Council's Gypsy and Traveller Service of their intention to leave the site, the council confirmed today.
The Gypsy and Traveller services have commenced the eviction process and asked the court for a hearing date.

Witney town councillor Jim King, who lives in the area, previously said the group was using the site as a 'public toilet', but admitted they were now behaving better.
He said: "I'll give them their due, they're obviously responding to council instructions."
A separate group continues to occupy a section of Great Western Park, Didcot, with landowners Taylor Wimpey understood to be putting 'additional security measures in place' to monitor and report activities.
