A VOLUNTEER at an animal welfare charity has been shortlisted for a national award.
Jane Denton, who works at the Blue Cross rehoming centre in Burford, is in the running for Volunteer of the Year in the Petplan & ADCH Animal Charity Awards 2019.
Ms Denton said: “I am delighted to have been nominated and completely overwhelmed to be chosen as a finalist.
"It is great that my hobby of crafting, which I love, makes such a difference not only to the pets and staff at the centre but the charity as a whole.
"I am very excited about the awards evening and am very proud to be representing The Blue Cross.”
