A COUNCIL meeting to discuss the refurbishment of a children's play area has been postponed after too few companies applied to carry out the work.

The Environment Committee of Didcot Town Council will now meet at an unspecified later date after it received a 'insufficient number of respondees' to its invitation to tender for refurbishing the Smallbone Rec play area.

It means that the decision will have to be made by a new committee which will be elected after May's local council elections.
