POLICE have urged members of the public to call 999 if they see a missing man who is wanted in Oxford.

Clifford Edmonds, of no fixed abode, is wanted on a Crown Court warrant on suspicion of breaching a community order.

The order was imposed in connection with a burglary, Thames Valley Police said, and the force has appealed for the public's help to trace him.

Edmonds, 46, is known to frequent Barton and Headington.

He is described as slim, black and around 5ft 8ins tall.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Lee Dix, based at St Aldates police station, said: "I am appealing to anybody who knows of Edmonds’ whereabouts or who recognises someone matching his description to contact officers as soon as possible.

"If you see him, please do not approach him, but call 999."
