A STRETCH of the A34 was closed this morning following a crash near Harwell.
Part of the southbound road was shut between about 4.30am and 5.30am, and traffic was held as emergency services arrived.

One lane had reopened by 4.50am, according to Highways England, and Thames Valley Police's roads policing team attended.

South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman Michelle Archer said an ambulance crew and rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene at 4.21am.
She said the crash involved one vehicle and one patient was assessed and treated there, before being taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
