THREE people were taken to hospital after a crash on the A34 last night.
The incident shut the southbound carriageway between the Peartree and Botley interchanges for several hours and was attended by Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
Drivers were held on the road as police, ambulance and fire crews attended the collision, with one motorist, Scott Drew, revealing he was stationary for several hours.
He said: "Myself and others were trapped for over two hours. The emergency service response was amazing."

South Central Ambulance Service confirmed it was called to a 'multi-vehicle collision' at 12.10am this morning.
Three ambulance crews and Thames Valley Air Ambulance's critical care response unit attended the crash.
The ambulance service was unable to confirm how many vehicles were involved in the collision, or the conditions of the three people taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
The road was reopened at approximately 6am.
Thames Valley Police has been contacted for comment.
