A SAFETY inspection at an Oxfordshire train station caused disruption on the railway line this evening.
At about 4pm National Rail advised that Great Western Railway trains between Oxford and Worcester could be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Delays and cancellations were expected to continue until at least 7pm, but at 5.30pm it was announced that all lines had reopened.

National Rail said the disruption was caused by a 'safety inspection of the track' at Kingham station, near Chipping Norton.
This is after the driver of the 1.22pm service from London Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street reported a suspected track defect at Kingham.
The inspection blocked the line towards Moreton-in-Marsh.
Great Western Railway customers were able to use West Midlands Railway services between Worcester and Hereford in both directions, and replacement buses.
⚠️#Kingham - Great Western Railway customers may use local buses on routes 51, 52, 53,54 and X50. Great Western Railway have also organised replacement buses to run from Oxford to Worcester. Customers can speak with station staff for further information regarding these buses.
