OXFORD'S only LGBTQ+ club has launched a new crowdfunding campaign to raise money for a chairlift at its new venue in Frewin Court.

Plush recently relocated from its former home in Park End Street to the new premises off Cornmarket Street, however the new basement venue is only accessible by stairs.

And so this week the club has partnered with local LGBTQ+ societies and organisations in the 'Plush For All' campaign with the aim of raising £10,000 for the new lift.

Since its move to Frewin Court, Plush has already made improvements to accessibility, including installing an easy access toilet and ramp, as well as better breakout zones with quieter music and softer lighting, helping to address the needs of those with physical, sensory, cognitive, mental and developmental disabilities.

In a statement the club said it aimed to 'provide a venue which is accessible to all of Oxford’s LGBTQ+ community and those who share our values, and send a clear message that solidarity and accessibility are keystones of Oxford’s community.'

Plush moved to its new home in January, taking over the venue which used to be the Purple Turtle.
