A GLOBAL leader in bike products scooped three prizes at the 2019 West Oxfordshire Business Awards (WOBAs).

Oxford Products was named West Oxfordshire Business of the Year at the glamorous ceremony at Heythrop Park, near Chipping Norton, on Friday.

As well as winning the top prize, the Witney-based firm also received the Employer of the Year prize and the Training Large Business crown.

It was also a memorable night for cyber security specialists CQR Consulting, from Bladon, which won the small business award, while founder, Greg Inge, was named Business Person of the Year.

But the night belonged to Oxford Products, which impressed judges with its 'strong leadership' and 'impressive business growth'.

Managing director, Andrew Hammond, said: “It's a huge honour for the efforts of our team to be recognised so emphatically by the local business community.

"They put everything into making our company a commercial success, while building an environment in which people as individuals can succeed."

Oxford Products sells a range of products designed in-house by a team of skilled technicians based at the company’s purpose-built headquarters.

CQR Consulting was set up in 2004 and helps defend organisations against cyber attacks and risks by safeguarding their networks, data and devices.

Mr Inge said: “Winning two WOBA awards is recognition for hard work of the whole team puts in throughout the year. It’s great to be able to say we are an award winning company.”

Now in its ninth year, the WOBAs connect West Oxfordshire's business community by celebrating firms' achievements.

The night raised more than £3,000 for Volunteer Link-Up, 2018's Charity of the Year, which has a network of volunteers that transports, supports and visits people in need.

Next year’s chosen charity will be Guideposts Trust, which won the award this year.

Jo Sensecall, spokesperson for the WOBA organising team, said: “All the winners deserve the recognition to highlight their hard work and dedication.

"We are lucky to have so many amazing businesses here in West Oxfordshire.”
