STEAM engine fans have been left disappointed after a planned rail trip to the south coast was cancelled at the last minute.
The first Chinnor to Weymouth journey scheduled to depart tomorrow has been postponed due to a problem with the steam engine's boiler.
The historic B1 61306 ‘Mayflower’ had been due to take the passengers but developed a fault at the weekend and no alternative locomotive could be found.
Organisers Steam Dreams have promised to re-arrange the trip for the 27 June and will be contacting customers to discuss the options available to them in the next few days.
Chairman David Buck said it had been a 'difficult decision.'
