POLICE are hunting a man wanted in connection with a series of violent robberies in Oxford.

The public have been warned not to approach Tobias Bruce (pictured) but instead to call 999.

The 28-year-old is wanted in connection with three robberies including two at Jury’s Inn Hotel, Godstow Road on December 31 2018 and January 24 respectively, and another at a property in Oliver Road, in Cowley.

On each occasion a gang forced their way into the properties and made threats to the people inside.

The robbers were carrying knives in two of the raids during which cash was stolen.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help to trace Bruce who is from Oxford.

He is described as black, about 5ft 11ins tall with a slim, athletic build.

He has short or shaved black hair and a thin black moustache.

He is known to frequent the Headington, Barton and Botley areas, as well as Oxford city centre.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable James Salt, based at St Aldates police station, said: “I would like to speak Bruce in connection with this investigation, and I am appealing for the public’s help in tracing him.

“If anyone sees him, please do not approach them, but instead call 999.

“If you have any details relating to their whereabouts, please call the non-emergency number on 101.”
