STAFF at the Oxford Synagogue have installed a defibrillator which can be used by the public.

The device, which is stored in a box on the wall of the building in Richmond Road, could help to save someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest.

Anyone needing to use the defibrillator can call 999 and they will then be given an access code to use the equipment.

In 2014, Dick Tracey, then an Oxfordshire ambulance commander, launched a campaign to boost the number of defibrillators across the county.
