POLICE have reminded people that worrying livestock is a criminal offence as they investigated claims youths have been chasing pregnant sheep.
The Bicester Neighbourhood Team has been protecting ewes in Yarnton during lambing season this weekend.
Officers said they had been 'dealing with' the young people who were thought to have been bothering the animals.
Dog walkers are also being reminded that they must keep their pets on a lead around livestock.
Lambing season is currently in full swing across Oxfordshire.
The Earth Trust in Little Wittenham opened up its site over the weekend for its lambing festival.
