A SEX attacker who snuck into an East Oxford house, a man wanted after failing to turn up at court and a missing woman from Summertown are among the cases police have been investigating this week.

Old and new cases make up this week's round-up of appeals, with people urged to come forward by calling Thames Valley Police on 101, citing the reference numbers shown below if they have any information.

1. An E-FIT was released on Friday as police continue the hunt for the East Oxford sex attacker. 

Officers want to speak to the person in this picture after a man attacked a woman in a house on Divinity Road more than a month ago.

He got in through a window before sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s and fleeing the scene. 

The shocking incident happened at around 4am on Saturday, February 9.

The person depicted in the E-Fit image is South East Asian, aged in his 30s, short and of small build. He was also riding a mountain bike.

2. Police also urged anyone with information about a 'burglary and blackmail' investigation in Cumnor to come forward this week after struggling to find a trio of criminals.

In January a masked gang forced their way into a property in Kimmeridge Road and assaulted one of the occupants before demanding money.

Police say the three attackers, who were wearing dark clothing with their faces covered, left the property in a car which had been parked close by following the raid on January 7.

3. CONCERNS are growing for Summertown mum Lorraine Easom, who has now been missing for more than a week.

The 55-year-old was reported missing to police on Monday, and was last seen in Harpes Road at around lunchtime on Friday, March 8.

Ms Easom, who also uses the first name Claudia, is white, 5ft 2ins, has brown shoulder length hair brown eyes, and has links to Oxford and Kidlington. 

Officers working to locate her have been searching open land and the River Cherwell.

4. Five months after a woman was subjected to a terrifying sex attack in the back of a taxi police appealed again this week for information.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in October and remains a suspect, police have confirmed, but no one has been charged over the attack.

The victim, aged in her 20s, had fallen asleep while being driven from Oxford to Abingdon and awoke to find the driver of the car undoing her trousers.

She was then sexually assaulted.

5. Two bikes were stolen from Cowley after thieves broke into a shed.

They went into the back garden of a property in Amory Close and forced the shed's door open.

This took place sometime between 11pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday, March 9.

6. Police appealed for help on Friday to track down a man after he failed appear at Oxford Crown Court over Class A drugs charges.

Andy Amadu, aged 28, is around 5ft 8 to 5ft 10 ins tall, slim build with short black hair.

He is wanted for failing to appear at Oxford Crown Court. He was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Amadu is known to frequent Southwood Hill and Faracre Court in Northampton as well as Northampton Town Centre.

7. Jewellery was targeted in two separate burglaries in South Oxfordshire on Monday.

The first incident saw a house in The Orchids, Chilton, broken into between 5.45pm and 7.30pm.

Burglars also smashed a rear patio window to enter a home on Orchard Close, Didcot, between 6pm and 11.30pm that same day.

A jewellery box was emptied, but it is unclear what was taken at this time.
