POLICE have said they are treating a body found in a burnt-out car as unexplained but not suspicious.

The remains were found in the early hours of Thursday morning near Wantage, with the turning off the A417 opposite Ardington, towards Ardington Wick farm, cordoned off throughout the day.
Thames Valley Police spokesman James Williams also revealed the body was discovered inside a Mini.
Formal identification and a post mortem have yet to be carried out.

Officers and the fire service said they were called to a vehicle on fire at about 1am and found the body inside.
Villagers reported a heavy police presence in the area at the time, with a helicopter also spotted as well as forensics later in the day.
