Here is a round-up of some of the sentencing hearings held at Oxford Crown Court between Tuesday March 5 and Friday March 8.

Tuesday

HMP Bullingdon inmate John Bisson, 33.

Given more time in jail after he was caught with a mobile phone, and fought with prison guards when it was discovered.

Anthony Dunn, 27, of Robins Court, Faringdon.

Given a community penalty after he became ‘obsessed’ with a child and took more than a thousand naked pictures of her.

Thursday

Brandon Morris, 28, of Crescent Road, Luton.

Jailed at Oxford Crown Court for a third-strike offence of two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs – crack cocaine and heroin.

In mitigation it was claimed that Morris had 'the talent' to make it big in the music industry on his release.

Pick up Monday's Oxford Mail for the full report in the Scales of Justice section.

Friday

A 16-year old was jailed for more than five years for a vicious stabbing in an Oxford park.

This report was published in Saturday's Oxford Mail, in which a court judge warned of a 'storm' of knife crime reports.
