NEW high-output floodlights are to be put up at a village sports pitch.
Chinnor Parish Council has applied for planning permission to put up the 2,000w luminaires at the village pavilion used by the football club.
The lights will be mounted on two existing 15m lighting columns for the main floodlit pitch.

A 'biodiversity statement' submitted with a planning application to South Oxfordshire District Council says the new lighting 'will not affect any mature trees, hedgerows or historic buildings'.
