PERFORMANCES, workshops and talks will be held this Saturday at a festival to celebrate womanhood.

Wo-man-ity, hosted by youth empowerment charity, Young Women’s Music Project, will celebrate International Women’s Day by creating a forum for people of all genders and ages to come together.

People can sign up on the day to do workshops including a feminist ceramic badge-making class and a singing class.

Janine Francois, an Oxford-based student studying human rights law, is currently challenging multiple white men with her opinions on the nonexistent concept of reverse racism. 

She will be exploring the roots of black feminism and intersectionality and more in a talk entitled 'Black Feminism as Intersectionality'.

Chloe Armatrading will be leading a sign language workshop where people will learn how to sign R.E.S.P.E.C.T by Aretha Franklin.

The festival aims to help people learn about gender-based issues that affect our daily lives.

It starts at 2pm at Makespace in Oxford.
