POLICE have warned boaters in Oxford to be extra vigilant after a rise in canal boat burglaries over the last month.
The offences have all occurred between 4pm and 11pm, with cash, a laptops, earrings, a pocket knife, bottles of alcohol and an antique watch stolen.
Police say the latest burglary happened on Saturday between 6:15pm and 8:30pm near the Walton Bridge Moorings, Walton Well Road, North Oxford.

Boaters are advised to consider fitting an alarm and to always keep their boat locked when no-one is on board.
