THE MUGSHOT of a thug who launched 'frenzied attacks' on his partner has been released by police.

Oxford Crown Court heard how Bernard Cowley, of Tyrrells Way, Sutton Courtenay, subjected his partner to a savage assault during a row head-butting her, breaking her nose and pulling clumps from her hair.

And, despite being arrested by police the 37-year-old again attacked his victim in a brutal 10-minute long onslaught after he was released under police investigation.

The victim also sustained a black eye, bruising across her body and around her throat, and required hospital treatment.
