A MOPED driver has been arrested for riding through a red light after failing to notice the police car directly behind.
After realising his mistake the suspect then tried to escape punishment and sped off, however officers soon caught up and made the arrest.
The moped rider was also found in possession of cannabis.

In a social media post this morning officers said: “Just minutes into patrol in Didcot this scooter pulled out in front of PC Peck and drove through a red light.
“Rider tried to make off and hide but suspect was arrested and is under investigation for driving offence and possession of cannabis.”
