BICESTER LOCAL History Society has called on the council to rectify the fact the town has no blue plaques.
The history group said in a letter to the town council 'people might think we have nobody to commemorate'.
It lists a host of suggestions of those worthy of a blue plaque, which costs about £400 a time, including John Dirkin who wrote The history and Antiques of Bicester.
Bicester Town Council will discuss the potential of adopting the scheme on Tuesday at The Garth, Bicester, from 7pm.
